SPECIALIZED INSTALLATION

Specialized Installation for Complex Door Systems

A large Schweiss door is not a garage door. Openings of 40, 50, or 60 feet place real demands on the building structure, the electrical system, and the installation crew — and the door only performs as well as the coordination behind it.

JSL manages that coordination. As a licensed general contractor with hands-on Schweiss installation experience, we work across every trade and detail the door touches:

JSL converted fourteen approximately 50′ × 20′ hangar doors at Vero Beach Regional Airport from aging cable lift systems to Schweiss bifold liftstrap systems. The work was approved by the City of Vero Beach as part of its Airport Master Plan and was carried out across multiple hangar buildings while the airport remained operational.

Each conversion involved structural modification and welding, integration of new liftstrap drive systems, and coordination of electrical and control placement — repeated fourteen times to a consistent standard.

“As the project progressed, our team refined a repeatable installation process that allowed us to efficiently adapt Schweiss liftstrap systems to existing hangar doors. The result was a cleaner, better-performing door system that met the airport’s long-term needs.”
