Fourteen Schweiss Bifold Liftstrap Door Conversions for Active Airport Hangars
JSL General Contractors completed a large-scale hangar door upgrade at Vero Beach Regional Airport, replacing outdated cable lift systems with Schweiss bifold liftstrap doors. The project included the installation and conversion of fourteen 50′ × 20′ hangar doors, improving reliability, safety, and long-term performance for tenants leasing and renting hangar space.
The liftstrap conversion was approved by the City of Vero Beach as part of its Airport Master Plan, supporting the airport’s long-term growth and operational efficiency. JSL coordinated structural modifications, welding, electrical integration, and control system placement to ensure a seamless transition across all hangars while maintaining airport operations.
